Enthralling to read. Even visionary. The images caused me to see eternity collapsed into a moment, where derangement and meditation led to deconstruction, allowing, even inviting, wholeness to emerge. It's a creation story. All of this is to say: beauty, when we leave space, always leads to gratitude.
Caroline, your writings are so good for the soul. I always look forward to seeing just how you will weave your endings, because they are so creative and impactful every time. And then I return to reread, much more slowly!, the beginning and middle and savor each paragraph..Your children are so lucky to have such passionate attention.
Love this. It reminds me of building a suit of cardboard armor with my kids a decade ago (gawd I wish I still had that sculpture of recycled costuming), and of the amazing collaborations of art and play I've experienced with so many creatives everywhere from Jupiter to NJ. The grand dance of collaborative play - somewhere between a mosh pit and the ballet - all in the name of art and FUN! So lovely.
You have once again brilliantly illustrated for us (pun intended) that relationships, and life really, are like art: what REALLY matters more than the product is the PROCESS! Thank you for that.
Oh, Caroline! I loved your daughter's response... “No, mama. I said oh my god because what you chose was so beautiful.” When I read that, my heart did a squishy-squeezy connection thing, and I felt like hugging you and your daughter immediately. You are my kind of people.
I loved reading about your co-created art projects... and I love knowing that you are sharing some of your passions for making art with the kids, no matter what it looks like. It's something that I share with you. I have passed the artsy-creative obsession on to my children, as well, and I'm so damn proud of them when they create new things and they get excited to show me.
I firmly believe that making art is the future key to the next generation's happy and healthy minds. ❤️

That was so lovely to read! Thank you :)
So dear in many ways!
Love it! I think we need more content that focuses on the joys of motherhood as well as the struggles
